Allen + Shariff acted as the prime consultant for the Wicomico County Board of Education for Northwester Elementary School – a $2.1M renovation of a 27,000 square foot space located in Mardela Springs, Maryland. The project consisted of full MEP Services and included associated systems and minor Architectural services to accommodate the HVAC design.

The existing MEP systems in the building were completely removed and replaced. The fresh air requirements were supplied by a rooftop energy recovery unit. HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems were fully commissioned, and a commissioning plan provided. The systems commissioned included a rooftop unit, heat pumps, geothermal pumps, energy recovery ventilators, power ventilators, HVAC controls, domestic water heater, emergency generator, and lighting controls.
